Admissions procedure at Cours Florent

How to apply for Cours Florent?

Our short programs

Admission is via a workshop in either English, French, Spanish or German.

Over the course of a one-week acting intensive, participants work as part of an ensemble, under the guidance of a Cours Florent teacher. Workshops are open to everyone over 17 years old, regardless of previous acting experience. During these intensive workshops, participants are provided an insight into our teaching methods and what to expect in the three-year program.

Skills assessed during this workshop include aptitude for learning new methodologies, openess to feedback, listening skills, creative curiosity, and collaborative capability/teamwork. At the week’s end, workshop members perform in a showcase, attended by a member of the Cours Florent permanent teaching staff. After the workshop, each participant receives a personnal assessment with feedback.

Observing the progress of a student over several days provides Cours Florent both an impression of their current skills level and their untapped potential. Depending on the candidate's performance in the workshop, an invitation may be offered to join the school the following September. This recruitment process facilitates more reliable results, as well as allowing participants to determine if the course will meet their needs and expectations.
